Darrerament el Programa Awasuka està tenint molt èxit a Bhimphedi. Un cop acabades les cases (noves i de reforç), el programa s'ha centrat en altres activitats per a la millora de l'hàbitat: la construcció de xemeneies (moltes més xemeneies de les que inicialment s'havien previst, informarem en breu), i la conscienciació sobre el tractament d'aigua beguda. Per a aquestes últimes s'està utilitzant la cançó WATER PAANI, unes activitats divulgatives que segueixen la lletra de la cançó i uns pòsters que s'han penjat als llocs més importants del poble, on s'han fet aquestes activitats: escoles, hospital, farmàcies, ajuntament, cuartel de policia, etc....
Finalment, després de molts mesos de distribuir nosaltres ampolles de clor als nostres beneficiaris, per fi les farmàcies de Bhimphedi s'han decidit a fer una comanda d'ampolles de clor (Piyush) a la fàbrica de Kathmandu. Estem molt contents per aquest fet, ja que des que vam començar amb la difusió del tractament d'aigua, ningú al poble sabia què era el clor, ni on es podia trobar. Ara en canvi, ja hi ha molta més informació i la gent ja comença a demanar-ne a les farmàcies, i aquestes finalment s'han convençut de que n'han de tenir disponible per a la salut dels seus vilatans.

Lately Awasuka Program is having a lot of success in Bhimphedi. Once the houses (new and retrofitted ones) have been completed, the program has focused on other activities to improve the habitat: chimney-hood construction (many more chimneys than initially planned, we will inform shortly ) and awareness on drinking-water treatment. For the latter, the song WATER PAANI is being used, along with some awareness activities following the lyrics of the song and posters that have been hung at the most important places of the village, where these activities have been performed: schools, hospital, medical stores, gaupalika office, police barracks, etc.
Finally, after many months of distributing chlorine bottles to our beneficiaries, at last Bhimphedi medical stores have decided to place an order for chlorine bottles (Piyush ) at the Kathmandu factory. We are very pleased with this fact, as since we started with water treatment diffusion, nobody in town knew what chlorine was, nor could it be found anywhere. Now, on the other hand, there is much more information about it and people are already beginning to ask to the medical stores owners, and they have finally been convinced that they must have piyush available for the health of their villagers.
